Just as the installation method differed from the Windows NT, so too do the tools involved. Seven tools compose Server tools for Windows 95:

Event Viewer (Eventvwr.exe): Enables the Windows 95 machine to view and manage application event logs, system event logs, and security event logs produced by the Windows NT server.
File Security: A File Security tab is added to both Windows NT Explorer and to My Computer, enabling the user to view or change file security on the Windows NT Server. As the administrator, you can use this to maintain security on the file shares on the Windows NT Server 4.0 machine.
Print Security: A Print Security tab is added to the Windows NT Explorer and My Computer screens. This enables the user to manage print permissions on the domain from the Windows 95 Workstation. It is controlled through the Properties tab in the Printers dialog box found in either the Start Menu settings area or My Computer or Windows NT Explorer categories.
Server Manager (Srvmgr.exe): Manages the computer resources for the domain computers, including shared folders, printers, and permissions on the shared folders. In addition, you can view users on any resource and, if necessary, disconnect users from a given resource.
User Manager for Domains (Usrmgr.exe): Lets the NT Workstation change user properties—passwords, access times, share rights, rights to change passwords, domain logon scripts—as well as group rights—memberships, logon scripts, and so on—and trusts for NT-based systems on the domain, or a multiple of domains to which the NT Workstation user has rights.
User Manager Extensions for Services for NetWare: If FPNW or DSMN is installed this allows the Windows 95 Workstation to create a NetWare user account, enable it, and configure its properties as well as create a home directory on the NetWare server and set rights and inherited rights filters for the user account.
File and Print Services for NetWare: If FPNW is installed, enables the Windows 95 Workstation to create and manage volume and print objects—user accounts, rights, volume directory structure, printers, print queues, and send messages.

These Server tools allow the administrator to control from a Windows 95 computer a variety of settings on the domain—user groups, user accounts, shares, properties of printers, and so on—but can also help in the administration of Novell NetWare products.

The functions of both Windows Administration Tools for Windows Workstations and Windows Server Tools for Windows 95 is that they free up the administrator, helping him or her to administer the domain from nearly any location. These tools save time without adding to administrative burdens.

9.2.5. Services for Macintosh

You can install Services for Macintosh on a Windows NT Server 4.0, which provides the capability to manage networks in which Macintosh computers are included. It can also permit a Macintosh user to log on to an NT Server in order to provide file and print sharing for the Macintosh. This greatly simplifies administrative duties. The Windows NT Server can also act as an AppleTalk router.

The following are the requirements to access Services for Macintosh:

2MB of free hard disk space.
The NTFS partition cannot exceed 2GB due to Macintosh’s 2GB partition size limit. If it is greater than 2GB a message might appear on the Macintosh systems saying 0 bytes are available.

Even more requirements exist for the Macintosh client computers:

Macintosh clients must be using Macintosh operating system version 6.0.7 or later.
Macintosh clients must be using AppleShare Network software. This excludes using either the Macintosh XL or Macintosh 128K computers.
If LaserWriter printers are being used, only version 6.x or later drivers can be used.
AppleTalk Filing Protocol versions 2.0 or 2.1 for file and application sharing.
